CHAMBER OF DEPUTIES

Under Italy's new electoral system, the Chamber of Deputies 
consists of232 members elected from single-member constituencies 
by first-past-the-post voting, 386 members elected from multi-
member constituenciesby proportional representation, and 12 
members elected to represent Italians abroad.

In the single-member constituencies, each coalition presented a 
single candidate. In the plurinominal (multi-member) 
constituencies, the constituent parties in each coalition ran 
separate tickets.
