Elections to the Hong Kong Legislative Council

The Hong Kong Legislative Council has 70 members, 35 directly elected from 
five multi-member constituencies, and 35 elected by “functional 
constituencies” based on occupation and interest groups. At this election 
five members were directly elected by all voters not enrolled in any other 
“functional constituency,” meaning that all voters now have two votes, and 
that the Council now has a majority of directly elected members.
