MEMBERS OF THE NATIONALRAT

Each state (Land) is divided into electoral districts 
(Regionalwahlkreisen), which elect members on a proportional basis. 
There is then a second allocation of members (zweites 
Ermittlungsverfahren) at which additional seats are allocated to the 
parties to achieve a proportional result for the Land as a whole. 
Finally further seats are allocated (drittes Ermittlungsverfahren) 
to achieve a proportional national result.
