McKellar elected for a term ending 30 June 1962 (remainder of Ashley's term). Continuing Senators (term to end 30 June 1962): Hon John ARMSTRONG (ALP), John McCALLUM (Lib), Albert REID (CP), Hon William SPOONER (Lib). -------------------------------------------------------------------- Ormonde's term ended and McKellar's term began on 22 November 1958 because Ormonde had been appointed to the remainder of Senator William Ashley's term in 1958.
